Ode to the Seasons a.i

Spring

Buzz! Hum!- the bees awake, their wings a song.

Like dancers swirling where blossoms throng

Raindrops patter, plink-plink, on tender leaves,

As earth, reborn, her emerald robe weaves.

Summer

Crackle! hiss! the campfires glowing tongue,

Like gold in twilight, where laughters sung

Waves whoosh softly against the golden shore,

As sun-kissed days stretch in forevermore.

Autumn

Rustle, crunch the leaves fall light as dreams,

Like painted whispers floating down the streams.

The wind sighs low through fields once green,

A fading warmth, a burnished sheen.

Winter

Snap! the frost bites crisp beneath my tread,

Like glass that shatters where feet have led.

Hush-snow falls, a muffled tune, a muffled tune,

As silver stars embrace the moon all together,

O seasons four, a circle spun,

Your song life’s tale till  all is done

From bloom to flame, from fall to rest,

Each sound, each sigh-creations breath
